- What is Woodworking Magazine?
Woodworking Magazine teaches the fundamental knowledge necessary for good craftsmanship. Our goal is to make you an independent, mindful and competent woodworker by filling in the inevitable knowledge gaps left if you taught the craft to yourself. To ensure that our magazine is of the highest quality, we will challenge woodworking's conventional wisdom to find the techniques, materials and tools that work best. Every operation and tool you see in Woodworking Magazine has been tested numerous times by our staff of professional and enthusiastic woodworkers in our shop in Cincinnati, Ohio.
- How often is Woodworking Magazine published?
How can I purchase a subscription?
Woodworking Magazine is published four times a year (issues mail in March, May, August and December). Subscriptions cost $19.96 for four issues. To subscribe, please click here. Or you can call 800-283-3542 in the United States and Canada. Overseas callers can call 386-597-4322.
- Why is there no advertising in the magazine?
To ensure that Woodworking Magazine is free of bias - or the perception of bias - we will accept no outside advertising from manufacturers or other sellers of woodworking tools and equipment. This is our pledge to you.
- How can I submit letters to the editor, woodworking Shortcuts and articles for submission?
We gladly accept letters to the editor and submissions to our woodworking Shortcuts department. You can send your letters to letters@fwpubs.com. Shortcuts can be submitted to shortcuts@fwpubs.com. However, we do not accept article submissions. All of our feature articles are written in-house so the methods can be tested extensively by the woodworkers on staff.
- Who publishes this magazine and web site?
Woodworking Magazine is owned by F+W Publications Inc. in Cincinnati, Ohio. The company publishes a wide variety of magazines and books for the enthusiast, including titles on hunting, scrapbooking, gardening, graphic design, writing and woodworking. The editors of Woodworking Magazine include a staff of professional woodworkers and journalists who also work on a sister publication, Popular Woodworking, and its web site, popwood.com.
